If you’re planning on subleasing your commercial space, make sure that you are well aware of all the risks and responsibilities that this entail. Here are a couple of things that you should remember:

  • Because, you do not actually own it, your actions concerning the establishment must initially go by the landlord – otherwise you may end up violating certain rules.
  • It is your job to find suitable tenants whom you can trust – your landlord will be holding you responsible for any damage and problems that may occur.
  • You must be clear on your own policies and have a written contract between yourself and your tenant.
