Home Protection AppThe The Federal Alliance for Safe Homes or FLASH has released an app that is aimed at helping people in protecting their homes. This is a timely development considering the great number of people who are using smart-phones right now. There is also an increase in the likelihood that some natural disaster might occur which can cause some property damage.

The app is supposed to alert the user when cases of severe weather are about to take place.

Weather Features of FLASH Weather Alerts:

  • Local weather forecasts for seven days including hourly updates with temperature, precipitation and humidity
  • Severe weather alerts for up to six saved locations in the United States
  • Location-based alerting using smartphone GPS and local cellular towers to pinpoint locations making alerts more precise, reducing false alerts”
